Not sure if this is a bug or a feature. I thought it was either my client or lemmy.world being slow today, but I also tried posting the same reply through the website and it was still posted as a parent comment.

Happened to me too around the time lw had issues (from regular mobile web), and I’ve seen other people mention it too. Funny thing to happen.
There were indeed some issues. It should be solved now. You still experience this problem?
