Main ride Surly Disc Trucker
With Disc Trucker; Schwinn Willy 7 speed 2011 (back) and Murray Monterey Cruiser 1983 (middle). Schwinn Lil Chick 1986 (front) included in picture is my daughters.
This is my daily driver. I bought this because I wanted something light and easy. It’s about 10kg so easy to carry in stairs.
My daily commute is 15 mn in the morning, 25 in the evening (going uphill).
Is that a fixie, “just” a single speed, or can it be set up either way? Regardless, my hat’s off to you - I don’t think my knees could take a single speed all the time.
It can be set up either way, by flipping the back wheel.
I use it as a single speed, I’m not comfortable with going down hill from home on a fixie.
It’s very comfortable on flat ground, because it’s very light. When it gets too steep, at least it’s easy to push or carry.
