You can apparently have up to 127 levels, so long as any level is 63 or less characters and the whole domain string is 253 or less. I’m not going to type it all but it could be x.x.x.x.x.x…(several many more .x.x)…x.x.x.xxx if they really wanted.
Why go to x.com when you can go to xxx.com?

Why stop there when there’s xxx.xxx or even xxx.xxx.xxx
