    No they didn’t but there are so few independent grocers. It is the same in aost all sectors of Canada’s economy. Cartels and Monopolies abound stifling competition, efficiency, selection and innovation and leading to price fixing for consumers.

        Oh, then I wonder what’s causing the new monopolization.

        Where I live, businesses were prohibited from operating during the pandemic lockdowns, with the exception of the “necessary” ones, which turned out to be all the big chains.
