Came across multiple such post on Reddit across IndiaVerse subreddits. He needed around ₹19,00,000 (~$23,000) to save his baby, of which ₹17,81,180 (~$21,000) has been crowdfunded. His kid has a very rare liver condition called the Crigler-Najjar Syndrome.

This guy has requested folks from r/india, also from a bunch of young adults and teens to pay what little they can, for his baby. Most of these people are themselves from the lower-middle class families, and doing their best to give what little they can, giving around ₹100-500.

The fact that we are supposed to beg to our fellow worker for help, who are themselves impoverished, while the one who steals our wage does not give a crap about us, boggles me.

Helping someone when they need is a rare delight in life and it saddens me the average person when given the opportunity has to weigh how much they have to risk their own wellbeing to do it. The average person should be able to do well enough to help the person who comes across someone in a bad situation. I really wish cyberpunk did not so much feel like the actual future over star trek.
