Two San Diego residents cleared out the Pride month display at their library and said such materials shouldn’t be available to children, one of several recent clashes over L.G.B.T.Q. issues in California.
It’s depressing to see how Republicans are deploying “groomer” rhetoric to try to reverse gains for LGBTQ+ rights; and in such a reliable liberal stronghold as California no less.
Hopefully we can continue pushing for their political marginalization. But our fight for equality is not and can never be over. Our enemies are just waiting for us to rest before they take to the battlefields again.
