Companies are still companies, even from socialist countries. As such, we must shit on them.
Example: fuck their anti-repair bullshit
Companies are still companies, even from socialist countries.
Very important bit that people often forget. Even Marxism aside, I have a pair of Xiaomi airpods and just because they are Chinese it doesn’t mean I won’t say that they are the worst thing that has ever rested on my ears.
I ordered a wire for my headphones earlier this year from China and they lasted like 3 months. In the future I expect ‘made in china’ to mean that it’s probably as good/bad as any other product.
And that’s my criticism of China, they aren’t tough enough of the boojees.
More examples of my criticism of AES companies;
3… 2… 1…
- why the fuck did Huawei to remove the headphone jack?
- fuck the V8 audio interface,
- fuck Tiktok,
- fuck Genshin,
- why no blood n Chinese games?
- why no gae?
- fuck 996,
- Shein? More like Shit! You will not consume me;
- Whoever outsources Chinese factories to do the actual labor doesn’t know what the fuck does “qualify control” mean.
There’s a reason “critical support” is communist vocabulary. This is one major criticism I have on the PRC: The C O N S O O M I N G and they aren’t tough enough on the boojees.
I would rather avoid, i once had a Lenovo laptop, and it was the worst piece of shit i saw since i tried to assemble PC by myself using random parts, or actually even worse.
Another rare China L.
I like them although I like my framework laptop a lot better, even though Lenovo’s laptops are technically pretty serviceable. That being said, they seem to be getting worse, and another commenter said they’re pretty anti-repair, so I guess I’m pretty suspicious about Lenovo for that. In the end, my X1 keeps failing because of a motherboard issue. Seems like their quality has come into question.
REgarding framework, american companies are American companies and I don’t know if frameworks good nature is gonna last forever.
Lenovo is in a weird position because it used to be an American company and so a lot of American businesses use them and expect certain things even though they’re now owned by a Chinese brand, and a lot of these liberal reactionaries would normally be appauled by the use of Chinese hardware. Weird situation.
Got a ThinkPad X1 a couple of years ago and the battery is fucking shite. 4 hours if you’re lucky.
At least they didn’t fuck with the design, even if swapping the CTRL key and the Fn key was always stupid. And it’s Chinese now rather than American so that’s a big plus.
Last laptop was a Thinkpad E series. Its chassis and keyboard broke. As in the plastic casing snapped at several places. Also a couple of keys broke off in a way they couldn’t be put back. This was after three or four years of usage. I don’t know if I got a defective piece or the build quality for that line is bad in general.
Current laptop is a Legion 5. I use external keyboard at all times because of my past experiences. The build quality feels better but the keyboard feels flimsier than my previous laptop’s.
mid, try framework
I own several thinkpads. Still, I’m completely disillusioned with modern computer companies. Hardware as something you own has probably never existed as the NSA has always sought to ensure that major chip manufacturers produce products that are secretly accessible to them. Attempts to mitigate these backdoors have been numerous, and while admirable, appear to have been a placeholder for the actual mitigation introduced by the new RISC-V architectures, which are chip products produced beyond the purview of major manufacturers. Once this tech becomes widespread, we may see the development of holes in the NSA dragnet, but even that is hard to predict as their access to advanced tech and spying techniques makes them appear all-powerful within their jurisdiction.
Why the fuck did they change the position of FN and Strg? Like why the fuck? What made them think that that was a good idea?
Their best laptops, Thinkpads, peaked in the 2010s, nowadays they are just Macbook clones.
I’m indifferent towards them
Kinda expensive for what they offer
And dogshit for that matter.
