    This is fucked up but it’s going to backfire on them. I think Florida bigots forgot that the internet exists.

    There might be some kids that will accept this uncritically, but those are kids that would already be prone to become bigots anyway. The rest will ultimately, if not instantly, see it for what it is and they’ll know if their teachers are onboard with the curriculum or if they’re just complying.

    Also wonder how many of the teachers that are onboard would really be willing to engage with students on it. They’ll probably just assign some ‘approved’ reading on the subject and try to avoid in-class discussions.
