Hi everyone, my 10 year old Lancia Musa (identical to Fiat Idea) didn’t manage to release a CD last evening, it tried to push it out, but it was always stuck just at the edge of the slit. After some wiggling with a key and another CD I managed to pull it out.

It’s the first time this happened, before, the CDs were ejected fine. Now I don’t want to risk a CD being really stuck there. Is there a common fix for these issues? Is there some rubber old and sticky, so mechanism to eject the CD is too weak? Or do I need to replace some rubber belt?

I don’t want to be stuck with radio :(

Replacement radios can be found online (if you google 735518685 RADIO).

I also might replace it with someting that has bluetooth and a display, but I don’t know yet what is compatible and what is not. Looks like a standard size.

    I like my CDs!

Thanks for the reply, I’ll check what I can replace it with. I do like a radio that has proper buttons, so I can control it without looking down. But I’ll probably find something suitable.

Until then, I put a CCR CD in. CCR is always good. Learnt that from John McClane

Depending on how handy you are/confident you feel it might not be too difficult to remove the radio and check the insides, check if all parts look fine and move properly, apply a touch of grease when necessary.

Yeah lots of modern radios are touch. You can always go single din and just have the other slot empty/as storage, you can just buy an insert, they are cheap, and single din are usually more old school with buttons. Like this thing:
