Hey all, I’m new to the BMW community. I recently just purchased a brand new 2024 M3 Competition xDrive.

When I have the car in all Sport settings, I notice that the gears slip/or get stuck (?). I’ll step down on the gas, if I ease off it in Gears 1 or 2, it stays there and putting my foot down causes the car to jerk forward rapidly and erratically. The gas pedal becomes very sensitive to any pressure and the gear seems to be stuck in 1-2.

I have to keep my foot off the gas for a few seconds for it to settle into gear before I can put my foot down on the gas again.

Is this normal?

Yes it’s normal. The car thinks you want it to go but at the same time you’re not giving it enough gas. The throttle is very sensitive is sport plus. In sport it’s a little less sensitive but can still do that.
