I stumbled upon warhammer a while back, and i found it facinating. As a person thats always found the darker twisted sides of the human condition utterly spellbinding, especially when you bring in religions, “sins” and survival mentally and so on. This was Just like hitting Gold.
What are some books, games and other things i should look into if i wanna run full speed at warhammer universe, and soak up as much as i can of it?
There probably is better forums to ask this, but i dont know any. So… Figured id ask here!
Total war warhammer 3 is great if you like fantasy. Buy the dlc and previous games piecemeal according to what you want.
Full speed? Laughs in 62 books and counting for a single sub-series
Don’t know a lot about the fantasy half but a great way to start with 40k is on youtube with Bricky’s videos on every faction explained. Or if you really wanna dive into the deep end, starting on the first book of the Horus Heresy is a great way to set the scene for things to come.
https://www.youtube.com/@Luetin09 on youtube will tell you all you want to know
For 40k games Dawn of War 1 + 2 and their expansions, Mechanicus, Boltgun, Space Marine, Battlefleet Gothic 1 + 2, Inquisitor, Chaos Gate and Hired Gun are all decent.
Space Marine II is coming out next year and there’s A 40K CRPG called Rogue Trader that’s coming out in a few days.
If you want lore videos then Arch, Majorkill and Luetin09 and are all good channels.
You can also read the 40k wiki. I haven’t read any of the novels so I can’t help you there. There are tons of them though and apparently they can be a bit of a mixed bag in terms of quality.
If your looking for the book anything by Dan Abbnet( spelling?) is a fantastic read
There is over 30 years of extensive lore
i get that, was more asking where toi start.
If people have suggestions to games, books, cartoons\comics etc.

I’ll mostly throw in book suggestions since there are others suggesting plenty of games already.
Warhammer Fantasy? Gotrek & Felix books are a good starting point. Personally would stay away from the Age of Sigmar series.
40k? Horus Heresy novels are a good intro, with the Gaunts Ghosts & Last Chancers books a good followup.
