For me it’s Ghost Recon(2001). Coming from rainbow six, the outdoor areas were mind blowing. Just replayed a quick map and it was still gorgeous to me.

    A few come to mind

    • black on PS2, I loved how realistic it looked at the time and the explosions, god was that game so fun
    • Timesplitters on PS2 because it was the first game I got and the goofy cartoon animations were fun
    • SOCOM 2 US navy Seals because I thought the game was so immersive using a headset to communicate to your fire team (I know this is a bit more gameplay but the graphics help create the immersion)
    • Front mission 3 on ps1; who doesn’t love mechs blowing each other up
    • Lastly would probably be Metal Gear solid 2. I still think it’s a good looking game

Black with 5.1 surround sound was awesome!

Timesplitters is the console Quake equivalent I feel to me. Fast paced and fun as hell.

Only played Socom 3, online play was fun.

Wasn’t a fan of Front Mission.

MGS 2 Sons of Liberty! Hell yes! Nothing like some bird shit to make your day lol.
