Sad? Kinda yeah. But thats bound to happen with any game company that goes too big.

Rockstar is guilty of being greedy, but they also put out banger games everytime, since GTA III all of their GTA games have been massive hits and thats commendable. I hate the shark cards, constantly pushing GTA Online for the big bucks, re-releasing GTA V for purely nostalgic factor and money.

But tbh, I do prefer that to constantly pushing out mediocre annual games like CoD, Assassins Creed. That practice just ruins the reputation of game companies.

I just hope GTA VI doesn’t turn out to be a disappointment, though it will cause of the massive hype. It will be a miracle if fans don’t riot over it once the trailer drops.

No, you can’t tell me Rockstar doesn’t employ people who are invested in telling a story. They could have gone over to the total MMO dark side. They could cash in on the company name and release freemium mobile games from now on. Which isn’t to say they may not go that way at some point, but for now they clearly employ people who still care about crafting excellent games and are very self-aware that they’re a leader in the industry so expectations weigh heavily on them to succeed.

it’s a bit uncomfortable but somehow these big companies have to be maintained, as long as they give something of quality and meet all the standards, it is understandable that they want a remuneration.
