I fail to see how Man City can sell more shirts than Arsenal or PSG. Arsenal has a massive following, plus they are in London which gets more tourists, therefore getting the odd sales.

PSG is another thing. French rappers wear them in their clips. I believe one guy even shot his video at the Parc des Princes.

I dont know. Something does not add up.

Why would a kid outside of London under 18 years old cheer for Arsenal over Man City? In many countries outside of England Man City is a lot more popular than Arsenal

These are estimates by some random marketing guy in Germany (that’s why they are all near round numbers). As I couldn’t find out how exactly he estimated these numbers, I would not rely on him.

It takes time, but the times have changed. There’s a day you’d struggle to get a City shirt in Manchester never mind outside of the country.

They’ve had a lot of marketable stars, won major trophies, and been part of pop culture with things like Ted Lasso.

You gotta realise how huge part of these sales are from outside of Europe. PSG and their Jordan collab made them really popular in the states and in eastern asia. And city are currently the best and most successful team in the world, giving them high sales.

There are so many plastics in Asia and especially the US. Also, I’ve seen several kids run around in City jerseys, even though i come from a region where 99% of people are Bayern fans.

Kids will most likely follow the most popular players, instead of a club. And Mbappe and Haaland are just the new Messi and Ronaldo.

Because football exists outside of England. City has the 5th highest social media following from all the clubs, they are extremely popular around the globe, amazing football, successfull AND they have players like Haaland.

City is very much liked everywhere, except for England and Germany. Its the same for PSG, very popular everywhere. I dont know how that is so hard to believe ?

In truth, this sub and everybody that “hates” the plastic club are a very tiny minority, people dont give as much shit as some might think.
