like everyone else has said, depends what you play. i dock mine to a 165hz 24 inch 1080p monitor with KBM on my desk, run games at 720p with upscaling and it absolutely blows my mind
i was running minecraft java in desktop mode docked earlier at a solid 160fps with discord open on the deck screen underneath the external monitor, and spotify running in the background and it didn’t even break a sweat
same thing with phasmophobia. desktop mode with the same discord setup, minus spotify, 720p upscaled to 1080 with FSR (ultra quality mode) medium settings, with full textures, sitting at 100-110fps
i have a PS5 which handles the heavy lifting, so to speak. anything that pretty much needs high fidelity, i’ll just play on that on my 4K TV. as a lighter game system, it’s absolutely fantastic, but throw anything modern and demanding at it and it’ll fall out with you very quickly
