He played 15 games in the NBA before the Raptors quickly realized he was nowhere near NBA level. In those 15 NBA games:
3.9/1.5/1.0 on 27% FG & 24% 3P
Now that he’s in the G-League, it’s not any better. In 3 G-League games:
15/2.7/1.0 on 27% FG & 28% 3P
I’m not one to hate on rookies early in their career, but these are unacceptable stats for a lottery pick. These stats also don’t reflect how big of a net negative he is on defense, effectively making him unplayable in any professional basketball setting
I think he could still be solid. His game(from what I’ve seen) just looks so natural. Terrible start obviously but you never know. We’re like 20 games in lol
Yeah, like yes his shot isnt falling at the moment but hes looked good otherwise. Really weird start for him. People on the Raps sub have compared him to how Kispert started his career before settling in.
He’s got a babies body. Like, he’s 19, fine… he’ll get stronger… but there are also 19 year olds coming into the league with grown man bodies, so it’s not crazy to doubt if he’ll be able to catch up
If Malachi Flynn is any estimate on Raptors FO patience, then I’d say he’s going to be okay.
