Might sound sorta silly, but as a very preschool activity I like playing different music from around the world and throughout history. It’s important to be exposed to more than just what’s on the radio.

  • “Song of Seikilos” - Greek - (c.200 BCE - 100 CE)
  • “Guangling San” - Chinese - (618-907 AD)
  • “Hurrian Hymn No. 6” - Mesopotamian - 1400 BC
  • “Iroquois Water Drum Song” - American

The last song in particular was really interesting, he started kicking his leg to the beat.

Ended the night out with some cool upbeat swing/jazz music that is reasonably modern.

  • Hey Pachuco! - Royal Crown Revue
  • Jumpin’ Jack - Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
  • Rush - Seatbelts
  • Tank! - Seatbelts
