I got a 2018 Ford transit that I was driving down the interstate and debree randomly hit my radiator and poked a hole in it and I had to get it towed to closest mechanic shop and the mechanic shop has had it for about two weeks and they finally decide to let me know that I may want to take it to a Ford dealership… I told them I’ll pay whatever since that’s the whole reason they told me to take it elsewhere but they really seemed like they really wanted me to take it elsewhere.

Can confirm. I recently moved to a workshop that also takes in commercials (usually Ford Transit’s). The move wasn’t my choice btw, my old workshop shut down and we were moved to this new place by my company. I absolutely despise working on them, as does each and every mechanic who works there. I told my boss today that if I get any more Ford Transit’s, I’ll be handing in my notice and leaving. I meant it. I absolutely hate everything about them with every fibre of my being. They’re awkward to work on. You require tools that you normally wouldn’t use on a regular passenger vehicle and everything takes about double the time because it’s designed by idiots and made of absolute garbage. We just replaced brake pipes on a 4 year old Transit because they had corroded through. Seriously? Utter trash.

Yes. Pulling the axles and throwing away 78 bolts just to do rear brakes is AIDS, and I hope Ford HQ gets hit with an asteroid any day now.
