I got my SteamDeck yesterday and wanted to get some ROMs onto it. So I got myself a USB Stick and an adaptor to convert from USB A to USB C. I plugged it in and my Steam Deck didn’t recognize the USB-Stick. I tried it with different USB Sticks and I even have a 2in1 USB-Stick with A on the one and C on the other end. Didn’t work either.
Due to my SteamDeck loading, I don’t think my SteamDeck is broken. If needed I could provice the adaptor and sticks I used, if the problem might be on that end.
I would be very thankful for any solutions!
It’s an software issue the OLED currently has.
Just follow this video and it’ll start working again as it should.
Ah thank you alot, for the info! Might look into it, kind of scared to do stuff like that, but cheers anyways! :)
Thank you very much, luckily I am not the only one. Will watch into the BIOS vid, although i am a little scared to do stuff like that. But thanks anyways!
Same thing here. Software issue it seems on the OLED model. Some USB-C adapters don’t work even though they do on the old Steam Deck.
I have to use my dock to use USB sticks now which still works. Kind of annoying, I hope valve fixes it.
Have you tried in desktop mode?
Yes, went onto desktop mode.
What’s the filesystem for the card and are you going to desktop mode to open it?
Which card do you mean exactly? Yes I am doing it on desktop mode!
No, what is the media formatted to?
