I’m pretty nervous of third party docks since one bricked my switch but, I’m tight on money. Any suggestions?

any that can pull 45+w. there was a time where the deck had the same issue as the switch back in the day but it was solved several updates ago.

if you reall want to go cheap, go to aliexpress and check the docks, as long as they have enough reviews and maybe 1 or 2 with a steam deck picture. youa re good to go.

in my case im using a ugreen 9-1 hub that is not so cheap but im having in the male a cheap switch hub and a lemorele one that i intend to use on my desk.

Steamdeck and a switch are two different things. The Steamdeck is a computer and any dock (as long as it has no design flaws) works seamlessly with it. You only need to look out what kinda output for videos you want. As I have seems docks (or hubs) which can only output 4K/30Hz.

And for reference. I use the ivoler 6-in-1 Dock. Normally it is half the price of the official dock. And nice bonus. The deck fits with a case on it.

I have the JSUAX one and I hate it. The cable that plugs into the Steam Deck is giving out and my warranty has passed. I should have gone with the official one.
