What’s your go-to game to “grind” on the Steam Deck? With the portability I imagine a lot of the community takes advantage of grinding levels/resources/materials/unlockables on games while away from their gaming setup.eam Deck allows me to chill in bed, on the couch, or away from my desk in general and still game.

Any suggestions?

I just started playing Slay the Spire and I can totally see it being a go to game that I always come back to. Loads of fun. And I am not usually a card game type of gamer, but this one just works for me.

Picked it up a month ago and feel similarly to you. Also not a card guy, but damn they nailed the mechanics in this. Sometimes the rng is annoying, but I do appreciate that there are countless ways to play. I do wish there was some type of mechanic for progress other than ascension though

I bounced off sts for some reason and didn’t think deck builders were for me until I recently started Monster Train. I can’t put it down. Check it out next.

Monster Train is my go-to after spending so, soooo much time in StS. I really enjoy it a lot! It’s also relatively shorter, which timewise is perfect for me.

Get the Slay The Spire Downfall mod. It’s standalone on the steam page now, and works just as good on Deck (just gotta select the “slay” configuration for controls to get it going).

It’s all the stuff from the base game and some more characters, plus you can play as bosses and there’s another mode or two. Really expands the game in a fun way.
