Hello all, hopefully this question belongs here.
I have a 2016 Hyundai sonata se hybrid, with about 140000 miles, that is in disrepair. I Put a down payment on the car for $2000 Out of 10000 back in May when I got the car. I however made a big mistake of not getting a warranty, because I had the Intention of paying off the car within a year And had a backup vehicle. I did my due diligence to take the vehicle to a shop for inspection before purchasing the vehicle. however after about a month of driving the car, the engine blew. The shop said there was nothing they could do for me, and according to Oregon (where I live) lemon law, I cannot do anything there either because the vehicle is used. The vehicle is now just sitting outside on the street in front if my place.
The shop that I took the vehicle to, said the repair is about $7000 for a used engine replacement. that was back in May, it is now pretty much December. I still owe $8500. The question is, What do I do with the car? Do I just pay it off and sell it when it’s paid off or is it worth it to get a replacement engine? From what the shop told me, there are no other Issues.
Lol imagine taking a loan for a Hyundai
If you did any research you would have discovered that this is an extremely common issue with those Hyundais
My bad for making a mistake bro.
I dont understand the downvoting tho. I asked for advice.
