Hi, lovely people! I have around 600+ hours on BG3, so yes, I am definitely enjoying it a lot. However, I’m trying to think of what to play next. A few people have recommended Cyberpunk to me, so I did get that, and it runs well. Nooot sure how I like it just yet. Are there any other, like, RPG games, that have character customization, that also run well on the deck?
Thank you in advance! Apologies if this isn’t the right sub to post this on, I haven’t been on Reddit in a hot minute.
Pillars of Eternity 2 doesn’t have gamepad controls, but I feel like on SD you’re often better off with KB&M emulation rather than using awkward controls in games like that - I’ve played Divinity and Pathfinder games with KB&M on SD rather than with gamepad.
PoE2 is really underrated. You don’t necessarily have to play PoE1, which is a fine game too, but it’s not required to enjoy PoE2. I’d call PoE2 a strong contester for a title of best RPG ever but not PoE1.
If you’re more into a decision/character/story aspect of BG3 you can’t go wrong with Mass Effect Legendary Edition. You’ll get three chunky games for your money and it works well on SD.
Oh boo, no gamepad controls? I was pretty stoked about PoE2. I played Divinity on Switch, and it was pretty good! No issues. Mass Effect, I am getting. Somehow I’ve managed to avoid any story spoilers (???) all these years so I don’t know anything plot-related
No gamepad controls but it wasn’t an issue for me at all. But again, after trying these other games with gamepad control scheme I switched to emulating mouse with trackpads, if trackpads don’t work for you then it might be a problem, yeah. These games have very few small icons that require precision, and PoE2 can be played in turn-based combat.
