As the title suggests, I recently got my 1TB OLED and have noticed a fairly annoying issue. If I try to plug in my usb headphones while the device is already powered on, the deck won’t detect these headphones. They are nothing fancy, just budget earbuds, so it should have nothing to do with the device itself.

I have to have the Deck fully powered down with the headphones already plugged in for them to work. I’ve checked desktop mode, and they won’t appear in the device manager unless they’re plugged in prior to turning the device on. Plugging it in during sleep doesn’t work.

This is a fairly major annoying issue, as obviously if I plug in headphones, they should work. I don’t recall having this issue with my LCD deck. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Is this a software issue, or is my hardware somehow defective? Though this would be an odd defect to be caused by hardware. I couldn’t find any recent posts about this issue.

This is a known issue with the USB port on the OLED deck.

There is a workaround for this issue where you can boot into the bios, and in the Advanced>USB Configuration screen, change the USB Dual Role Device setting from DRD to XHCI. If you’re unfamiliar with entering the bios, shut down your deck, hold the Volume+ button and then turn on the deck. You can release the Volume button after you hear the beep
