I’ve been reading the Reddit for advice but figured I’d ask anyway.
I’ve played and liked over the last half decade:
- Valheim
- Snowrunner
- Grounded
- Don’t Starve
- Stardew Valley
- DQB2
- Dinkum
- Animal Crossing (switch)
- Loop Hero
- Graveyard Keeper
- Elden Ring
- Elite Dangerous
- Vermintide 2
- Deep Rock Galactic
- every FromSoft game
- Olli Olli World
- Art of Rally
- the Forest
- My Time at Sandrock
- Dredge
- Ooblets
I’ve played and felt ok about:
- Dave the Diver
- Subnautica
- the Long Dark
- Project Zomboid (control scheme sucks)
- Gunfire Reborn
- No Man’s Sky
Im looking for a game I can spend a bunch of time on the steam deck with (like 50+ hours), either because of the nature of the game or just because it’s that good. Any recommendations on games you couldn’t put down?
For some reason I look at some games and see they will take like 10-15 hours to beat so I’m not interested.
Final Fantasy? I’m playing 12 (zodiac age) now, and it’s much deeper than I initially thought. The combat system is really engaging for me. I’m at 60 hours and maybe 3/4 of the way finished, but if I really went nitty gritty with min maxing, hunting, pursuing the best weapons/gear, I’d easily double that time
