My coolant was leaking onto the ground from my coolant reservoir. The connection point that funnels the reservoir itself into the pipes broke off, so it was a very loose connection. I kept trying to refill the coolant, but after the temperature light coming on, I would check my coolant level and it would be low. I replaced the coolant reservoir itself, and with the new non broken connection peice, I fixed the leak and the coolant level is NO LONGER FALLING AT ALL. The coolant level is staying right where it should stay, and there is no coolant at all on the ground and I don’t think it’s leaking anymore at all. However, within about 30 seconds of me turning on my car, my temperature light will begin flashing. It always flashes, it’s never solid. My light still comes on even tho my coolant is filled and not leaking. Why ?
Did you forget to reconnect the coolant level sensor after installing the new reservoir?
