I have a 2019 RAV4 hybrid XSE. I bought the car new, in July 2019… I had remote connect services free for one year like many people did. However, when the free trial ended I did not initially renew… I just moved and no longer have a garage… it’s getting colder on the east coast and I want to be able to have remote start… I tried to download the app and renew the subscription… after a few failed attempts to enroll my vehicle, I called Toyota. Apparently Toyota is no longer offering remote connect access on “older” models because the computer in the vehicle is no longer compatible with the app?!? I’m frustrated and I just want remote start on my car…

    YUP. I got my 2019 RAV4 used, and called about that the other day. Got told it’s not available on that model. Some BS.

    FUCK AUTOMOTIVE SUBSCRIPTIONS TO DEATH.

    Ive been happy with my 12v Solutions kit I installed a couple years ago. Viper and Compustar are other major companies.

    2019 rav4 should have remote services. I can look into this if you like.
