Honda Civic EX-L 2022

Hey guys,

Yesterday, I posted that a part of my car’s electrical systems had failed. I took it to the dealership’s service center, and 30 hours later, all they’ve told me so far is “the problem is more complicated than we thought” and that it’s more than likely an issue related to the ECU.

At this point, I’m starting to worry that they’re not actually doing any work on the car, and I’m going to be charged an absurd diagnostic cost on top of the repair fees. They’ve stopped answering my calls, and at this point, I’m thinking of going to an independent mechanic to see what they have to say.

If it really is a problem with the ECU (or worse yet, the ADAS), is there anything they could do or would they tell me to go back to the dealership? Thanks!

Ah, the DIY camera connection to the ECU circuit – now we’re getting somewhere! 😂
