I’m translating the service manual for the Japanese HS250h. There is a phrase I keep finding that I don’t know how to translate adequately. Usually ChatGPT3.5 is really good with finding cross-language inferences but comes up with nothing in this case.
The phrase comes up as a modifier for several unrelated parts. Examples include:
- モータツキ コンプレッサASSY A/C Compressor ASSY
- Throttle position sensor(Throttle body ASSY(モータツキ))
- Throttle body ASSY( モータツキ)( Throttle position sensor)
- インバータウォータポンプASSY(モータツキ) Inverter water pump ASSY (motor attachment)
Do you see any pattern there?
It’s only with Google translation and only with the final line - the inverter pump - that (モータツキ) worked out to “(motor attachment)”. But in any other context it seems to be a meaningless sequence of sounds. (with translation: motor moon or motor luck).
Could any knowledgeable person chime in on this please? Also I’d appreciate if there is any Japanese language forum for Toyota technical information. I’ve never found anything like that before.
