I have a LE deck which I love to death and am completely blown away by. However, I saw many posts about dead pixels so I decided to run this dead pixel text and saw that on certain colors, namely red and white, there are two, and only two, dead pixels on the screen. These 2 show up as a light green on those 2 colors.

However, this really doesn’t bother me at all. On most of the other colors I can’t even tell. Normal browsing, gaming, or anything else I can’t even find them again (so not even entirely sure if this means “dead pixel” or something else). However, there are definitely 2 discolored pixels in the same spot on certain colors when running this test.

Since it doesn’t bother me, if it’s not that big of a deal I’d much rather keep my device as other than this one small thing, I’m very happy with it. However, if this is indicative of a problem that will certainly worsen over time, then I’d rather RMA sooner than later. I would also like to avoid the annoyance of returning, waiting, and redownloading nearly 2TB of games.

What do y’all think?

I didn’t have dead pixels on mine, and continue to not have dead pixels on mine, after days of use. It could still happen, but typically these things happen within the first few days of regular use.

I vote for RMA, since you are entitled to a fully functioning screen, I would even RMA for a single dead pixel if one showed up on mine.

You are spending a substantial amount of money on your device, if it already has a defect a couple of days into use, get them to replace the screen or the unit itself, and see if you get a better panel.

It’s strange because on most colors it’s literally not there at all. But if I pull up Google, there a green pixel on the homepage clear as day. I started the process before I made this post anyways, so I’ll probably go through with it. It’s just annoying.
