I have pretty bad internet so downloading games always takes a while (up to 20 hours for 100GB+ games). Will burn in on the OLED Models be a significant problem when downloading games as you cannot turn the screen off while doing so. If that’s the case, is there any method of combating OLED burn in while downloading? (other than getting better internet)

You’re not going to get burn in, unless you’re internet is so slow that you need to leave it there for the next two years.
You won’t get burn in. I’m confident.
They tested the OLED switch and found it needs thousands of hours showing the same image for any slight burn in.

Second: in Desktop Mode you can turn off Auto sleep and dimm the display. This should do the trick

you can set auto off display timer in desktop mode. Use desktop mode for long downloads.
