despite being built pretty well and physically functional the type of technology that goes into these ROG, Ally, steam deck, and Lenovo go docking stations is pretty lackluster. All I want to do is a freaking USB-C to display port out for my freaking XR glasses. I am so disappointed in the connectivity from these handhelds. looking for a decent dock among the 30 docs on Amazon with misleading names and misleading features is just driving me nuts.

you can get a cable that merges HDMI and USB to USB c out
I use just regular USB-C hub from Baseus and it works just fine. I used it with MacBook also so i had spare one lying around.
They’re not garbage; they just don’t support a niche feature you want. As far as I’m aware the only thing that does is the RedMagic dock:

It’s meant for their phones, but it will work with stuff like the Deck as well.
