Hi, so I guess it’s time for me to replace my better. My car has been transferred from a warm climate to a cold one. Ever since then I’ve been having issues with it. The car recently has bene displaying a message saying “battery discharged, start engine” I took it to auto stores to check on my battery. One of them said it’s a bad battery. The other one said it’s the adaptor (I think) but he wasn’t sure. So I did some price shopping and found one company that comes to your location and replaces it for you. He charges $440 out the door cost. He is going to use a AGM Gel Type battery. I have no idea what that means but do you guys think it’s fine? It’s my first time changing the battery since I bought it brand new.
Adapter? You mean alternator?
Yes, AGM is the type of battery used by BMW’s.
Does the mobile battery installation company do the coding required by your car?
They said they do a “soft factory reset” is that all that is needed?
