Hello, I just purchase https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BMXR7B2Q?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details and i’ve been trying everything to get it to work.
It shows up in steam but never connects.

Am I doing something wrong on setting this up? I was hoping it would work so I can download games by ehternet instead of relying on my slow wifi

Thanks for the help in advance to whoever can help me.

I have a similar one and it’s completely trouble free for me. I’m assuming you have DHCP set up on the router and you’ve confirmed that the ethernet adapter is receiving an IP address?

This might be the USB issue that everyone is having.

There is a workaround for this issue where you can boot into the bios, and in the Advanced>USB Configuration screen, change the USB Dual Role Device setting from DRD to XHCI. If you’re unfamiliar with entering the bios, shut down your deck, hold the Volume+ button and then turn on the deck. You can release the Volume button after you hear the beep

This seemed to have worked. But in a weird way, it started allowing me to connect but than it wouldn’t stay connected, so I figured I change out my ethernet I have sitting around for the one I have directly into plug into my PC. Bam no issues, seem like I’m getting max 345MB/s on my steam deck, which is tons faster than my wifi. (Usually get 700MB/s on my main PC, but this ain’t bad)

Thanks for the help, I was worried I has got a broken dock. Luckily I have bunch of cat6 ethernet cords I got from Amazon to replace my other broken one 😁

Just to note, that video seems to be broken for anyone else that happens Google this issue in the future.

      Thanks for all the help
