And I suspect it will be this summer.

Wolves were absolutely victimised by VAR last night. It wont be scrapped though, get used to it as it’s not going away.

Christ. They are not getting rid of VAR. IFAB are meeting tomorrow in London to discuss expanding it to corners, free kicks and second yellow cards.

I don’t understand why you think VAR will be gone this summer. You believe the league would simply roll over and say that VAR has been a failure? You’re absolutely out to lunch here.

VAR has many faults, but it isn’t going anywhere.

I’m not sure what Wolves has done to PGMOL, but I don’t think there is any team that gets shafted more than Wolves this season. Today was just horrid. Three huge mistakes in one single game. O’Neil has every right to complain today. And I hope other managers will join him (looking at you, Arteta and Klopp). Because this is just unacceptable.

You’d have to be out of your mind to think that VAR is going anywhere. The genie’s out of the bottle, both in England and worldwide. The entire footballing community has accepted VAR, warts and all. You’re going to see it entering more facets of the game as time goes on.

    Guess that’s a 3 game touchline ban for Gary…

And a 5 second penalty for Ocon

Once again, the problem is not with VAR.

It’s the corrupt officials facilitating the use of VAR who are the problem. It’s the people behind the tech.

The technology itself is absolutely fine in most other domestic/continental competitions and the referees overseeing it very rarely make gargantuan mistakes like those in England do.

As soon as people wake up and actually direct their frustration towards the footballing body and its dirty hands, we might get somewhere.

There is no chance in hell it will be axed in the premier league - unless all the other big leagues would also agree to do it.

Whenever I lose in football manager and get the VAR question, I choose this option with the pointing emote because it gets me the most green faces

VAR isn’t the issue. It’s the fucking cowboys behind the monitor that’s the issue.

VAR should be removed from the referees and the PGMOL and given to a separate set of trained operators.

They have about 9 months to train up a few teams with no affiliation to the current refs. Surely they can find capable operators better than this lot. They have a perfect opportunity to select the best bits from NFL, Rugby, NHL and NBA and create the best system for the self proclaimed best league in the world.

Leaving referees to referee fellow referees will never ever work. I think VAR is a necessity but the fucking dinosaurs in charge will never utilise it correctly.

Fuck VAR shouldn’t be the tagline. It’s fuck the refs and fuck the PGMOL. Even with technology aiding them they can’t help but make a shite of everything. They’re not capable of the job and in most other industries would have been fucked out on their arse for incompetence by now.
