Anyone figure out how to do this? I have the battle.net version (no interest in rebuying on Steam).
Things that don’t work:
- Adding D4 exe or D4 launcher exe as non steam games. This simply opens the launcher on my pc but the deck doesn’t do anything when I hit stream. Funny is that I can get sound if I launch from PC but no picture.
- Using Steam Link app. This actually works, but the Deck is not recognized as a controller and it’s way too cumbersome to use mouse controls. I would have to use another controller which I don’t want to do
I just want to play from couch when wife steals desk! And no interest in playing natively on deck.
Thanks!!!
have you tried adding the game through the Steam Deck’s desktop mode and then launching it from there? that might bypass the issues with streaming from the launcher directly. good luck!
Not 100% sure what you mean. Game is on my PC, not on the Deck since goal is to Stream it.
Have tried the D4 exe on my PC added as a non steam game but since it launches the launcher, remote play doesn’t work as it should.
Thanks!
Ah, this might get me to try moonlight but I know there are issues with it needing the PC monitor on.
Honestly it’s a battery and graphics issue. Rather play the game at higher settings and longer battery if I’m only 20 feet away.
This is definitely a nice to have. If I don’t get it working, I’ll live.
Thanks!
You may need to setup Moonlight for some non steam games.
Why no interest in playing it natively on the SD? It runs pretty well, and less hassle.
If you download an app called Lutris in desktop mode (there’s a good youtube video on how to do this for diabolo ) this basically allows you to download Battle net, then you can download diabolo 4 and then add it as a non steam game and play it straight from gaming mode
