The point of the post isn’t “which game is better”. I have played both and enjoyed both on console. My question is, which one is a better experience on the deck. Do they both require launchers? Any major hurdles when all you want to do is sit down and play? Does it take a lot of tinkering, etc.

    I put about 100 hours on rdr2, it looks gorgeous. I used graphics settings I found on protondb. I fired up gta5 a while back first time on deck and it looked like utter trash, I played with the settings for a minute and gave up. Haven’t touched it since. Both use rockstar launcher, takes about a minute to log in even with automatic sign-in on my 50Mb connection. Very occasional sound issues in rdr2 when resuming from suspend.
