Im curious if anybody uses their steam deck for something other than gaming? I saw a dude use it as a kareoke machine. I also saw a dude use it as a teleprompter (weirdest by far). With all the software you can buy on steam, what are creative uses for the steam de k that isnt gaming related?
For any producer nerds out there, I had my DAW on there on my Windows partition. With a small USB-C interface I could inject my DAW into my synth setup. Was pretty neat running a polysynth from my Steam Deck into my Eurorack setup. Could also run it as a way to have .vst’s in my Eurorack, too.
I installed Bitwig on it when I first got it, I’m sure it would have been fine, docked, with kbd, monitor, and mouse.
as a Logic user, I’m kinda jealous ngl
might try Reaper on it
