It’s not worth the price of admission. Games repeatedly don’t work. Hogwarts required I download windows c + + to play a triple title. Go to YouTube for a fix and it’s 20 plus moves and almost all comments say it didn’t work and they gave up. I’m doing this public service so another person who just wants to enjoy playing games on a $500 dollar piece of equipment.

It was outdated when it came out bud, it’s still a fantastic product though.

      • It’s competitively priced, being literally the lowest priced handheld PC on the market.

      • it runs on a development friendly platform; Arch is one of the leading Linux distributions.

      • although people can’t wrap their heads around it (somehow? Feel like it’s a lot of user error), it’s very user friendly.

      • Valve support is miles ahead of anything companies like Asus or Lenovo offer. Like, seriously good luck getting any kind of help with your product outside of it’s warranty if you went with a different company.

      • it outperforms most other hand helds at lower TDPs (under 10 watts in most cases)

Played through the entire game on the deck. Didn’t need to do anything weird. Installed it and it worked the entire time.

User posts about something (Hogwarts), gets called out and downvoted to hell, and then doubles down on a separate post. Peak Reddit.

I’m playing hogwarts, even with mods. Lol.

Maybe you should learn how to navigate your device instead of this BS

I got my refund. I already owned the game thru epic and I play a 49 ultra wide.

The steam deck version was for my wife’s bday.

      Microsoft c ++ required.

Not doing extra shit for a hand held

I feel bad for anyone trying to use their deck and you have to download a bunch if third party shit to run a game.

When I worked in IT we had a saying that some people shouldn’t use anything with more computing power than a wrist watch, I think it applies here

A hand held gaming device should not require me to go to YouTube to correct.

It exist for a reason and you’re putting that down that reason. Def an it guy.

I think you should post this exact same problem at least 9 additional times. I´m sure that will prevent people from making the *huge* mistake of buying a device that they spent enough time researching and will very likely like using a lot.

Don´t “go to youtube for a fix”, cause the game is plug and play. Install it, and it runs. No steps required. You messed something up my guy.
