Hi everyone; I’m currently a Legion Go owner. This has been my first time ever owning a handheld. There are things I love about my Legion Go; however, it seems like the Steam Deck is a more user-friendly and more polished device. I’ve been thinking about getting the new Oled. Specially that limited edition.😮‍💨 My only concern is: will it be able to run the games I play the most? From what I’ve gathered some games don’t really like Linux. I’ve currently been playing a lot of Lies of P, FC24, Warzone 2.0. Does anyone here play these games on the deck? And if so, am I better off staying with the Legion Go or should I give the Steam Deck a try? Thanks for any advice.

You can check protondb.com for user reports on the games you want to play. I don’t own it myself but I’ve seen people say that Lies of P runs really well on the Deck.

More polished is a bit of a stretch…Deck had issues at launch as well so yea it’s better due to more time…you will run into games not working, compatibility issues, anti cheat software issues etc…windows handhelds you won’t have those issues but windows can be a pain on handhelds. So all have pros be cons just know what games you play and such and go from there.

one of the best selling points of the steam deck over other handhelds is the amount of information and support online behind it i’ve needed to google two different quite niche issues i was having with my deck i recently bought and a fix was readily available within about 3 clicks

Look at each game on the Steam storefront and check the Steam Deck compatibility on the right, it’s generally a good guide. COD and FC24 are listed as “unsupported.” Lies of P is “playable” with its ownly caveat being that the in-game text may be hard to read at times, but it says the default graphics perform well on the Deck.

You can also browse Steam by “Great on Deck:” https://store.steampowered.com/greatondeck/

Not to sound rude but do some Googling, you could answer these questions in 5 minutes without waiting for Reddit replies - perhaps that’s one of the biggest strengths for the Deck, the fact it’s so tried and true that you can answer any question you have about it within 1 or 2 Google searches.
