Why is it never like „yeah he played in the 70s and is leading scorer off xyz“
You can check that, i am not talking bs, its hard to find a leading scorer that was in his prime between 1970-90

That might also be impacted by great talents going abroad and not spending their entire careers in Germany anymore. You’d assume if Haaland spent his entire career in Germany he’d break into that top ten.
This, and players tend not to stay at one club any more. There’s a lot more moving about in general
