I dont get this, why is nearly every single leading scorer from the new era?

Why is it never like „yeah he played in the 70s and is leading scorer off xyz“

You can check that, i am not talking bs, its hard to find a leading scorer that was in his prime between 1970-90

Why?

    There are generally more international matches now. If you compare players on goals to games ratio you will find most top scorers in each country are fairly similar.

      The number of international matches has actually been fairly constant. Look at legends of national teams like Charlton and Kane for England and you’ll see that Charlton played more games. Even lineker played more games but with a shorter career.
