I’m gonna finish up Spiritfarer today. My advice is don’t play like me. It’s not really meant to be a game you just grind out. It’s actually a beautiful 6 it works far far better if you play it in digestible chunks.
I think when I looked this morning, I’m at 33-ish hours and 88% of the game and it will probably take me 2 more to finish, so I’d say I’ll just do what’s comfortable and finish up around 35 hours.
The game and its characters are meant to be enjoyed slowly and I didn’t do that. I put most of the time in this week, and that allows the shallow gameplay loop to really show itself. The minigames and exploration are ridiculously simple, and you will feel the grind if you attempt to just push through them like I did.
I was frequently frustrated at the game because I was playing it like a “videogame”. As I’ve gotten closer to the end I’ve really come to appreciate what it’s set out to do, but that requires slowing down and t
