She mostly plays planet zoo, sims, overwatch etc. her computer recently had its last hurrah. I thought a good alternative would be a steam deck and getting a dock for it. She prefers playing the switch undocked and thought steam deck would be a cool upgrade overall for her

    Yes you should. There are plenty of games and you won’t have to pay the switch tax or Nintendo tax. Fae farm is a great example. $50 on switch. $30 on Steam.

    OverWatch plays like a dream so if that’s one of her main go-tos? She’s going to be super happy.

    Why do you doubt it? She likes PC gaming and switch handheld, sounds like the perfect choice. Go for new oled though, because it’s lighter and makes it so much better for handheld
