For some reason about a week ago, my steam deck has just been acting really fucky when on my campus. It’ll never connect to the wifi. Just infinitely attempting to connect. Any of the campus Wi-Fi’s. Guest, student, devices, etc.

Sometimes if I turn the deck off and on again or reset, suddenly the internet will work…but usually not for long. Every other device I have (phones laptop, nintendo switch) connects fine and the deck itself used to work completely fine connecting to internet with the school’s wifi networks. Why the hell has it been different lately? Sometimes it just doesn’t even show the wifi networks listed at all.

Also nearly every time I turn off or restart my device the screen freezes during the “shutting down Steam…” screen

So, I came back home for thanksgiving break recently and my deck connected to wifi at home just fine. But when I came back here on campus, it’s dogshit again. It’s like it’s refusing to even acknowledge these networks that it used to instantly connect to and that other devices still connect to perfectly. What the hell is going on here?

I am having this issue on my home network actually, particularly after shutting down and starting back up. It worked at my parents house, but at my house (rent) here in college its very bad. That being said, I did not really have time to test after shut downs at my parents’.
