2006 Nissan Xtrail 2.5L 4x4
My car has telltale symptoms of a cracked head gasket, and has another issue that i was recommended to scrap the car rather than fix. exterior / interior solid condition but not worth much beyond that, likely scrap
what are the consequences of driving with a cracked head gasket? can i drive it until it won’t start or am i risking grinding to a halt on the road? (would never be more than 25km from a scrap yard for a tow)

you’ll foul up your plugs and potentially sensors too depending on how bad the leak is, a really bad leak can fumble up your cat then you’re looking at another 1k there. some guys will run distilled water because it burns cleaner but then you have an increased corrosion/rust kind of risk. gotta do what you gotta do though. gotta keep on keepin on
