New Steam Deck OLED arrived. Everything is perfect apart from one thing:

External harddrives (formatted in exFAT) will not mount in either game mode, or in desktop mode unless I reboot the steam deck with the HDD plugged in from boot. If I do this, it’s recognised perfectly in both modes.

Once recognised, if I take it out and plug it back in its then not recognised again! Zero power going to the harddrives (as no activity LED showing up on them)

I have my old steam deck LCD and the external hard drives work fine and are recognised at all times, no matter what mode.

Very weird… Any suggestions for a fix or is it an RMA job? Although to me the behaviour would seem software related, purely because it works fine when booting but then why does it work fine on my old steam deck but not the new one?
