Hello everyone, I have a situation I don’t know how to make sense of. I own a 2018 Sonata 2.4 Sport. About 7 months ago a knock code came up on me with flashing engine light, car was in limp mode. I had the car checked by dealership, here’s what i was told
- There is a recall for this cars engine due to knock
- There is a recall on the knock code sensor itself
- They saying they did a rod bearing test and everything was great
- They cleared the code and sent it back to me, ordered the sensor in so it can be replaced, upon which I would be called to come in to get serviced
2.5 weeks ago while waiting still, the knock code came up again The car is stuck in limp mode and reads as permanent (history code) Called dealership and confirmed driving on main roads is fine in mean ting (had to wait 3 weeks for appointment The last 4 days I turn the car on and was acting extra weird and batter would cut out sometimes where there would be absolutely no pier to anything to the car (would be easily fixed every time with a little jiggle) Checked codes and new code that had to do with some dirt of ECU malfunction was also coming up now.
I drove home. Checked car next day and there was NOTHING. No pending code not active codes bother at all. Car is driving perfectly fine. Does anytime know what happened and/or have advice
Some Hyundai cars do self-reset after 3 consecutive starts without a repeat.
