Hey all! Have a 1998 ford ranger xlt 4x4

Did my brake booster and master cylinder 3 weeks ago because i noticed when i would slam hard on my brake pedal my brake lag time was very long to the point if a car infront of me slammed on theirs i would probably hit them because my foot is all the way down and it didnt changed the braking pressure. After doing the job i noticed the brake effort is easier but the brake lag time still isnt great and i also notice the more i brake the betterish it gets? just wondering if this is a brake hose problem or calipers next?

I’m not a mechanic, but if you have to pump your brakes, that’s not good. Don’t drive it. Look for fluid escaping (letting air in).

You need to check and see if your caliper pins or the caliper itself are seized, brake shoe adjustment in the rear can also cause a weak pedal.
