With respect, we were missing TEN actual first team players.
Van de Ven, Romero, Bissouma, Sarr, Maddison would all have started. Bentancur has gone down again. So our first choice CBs and our first 4 midfielders out.
Richarlison, Solomon, Perisic, Sessegnon all give us depth and may have come off the bench.
No club in the country could absorb this scale of player absence, yet we still dominated the match and should have won.
You do realize when Norwich beat Man City they were without 8 first team players and over half of those being starter and also with way less funds for any depth. … While I’m not saying y’all didn’t dominate, it is a lousy excuse for any clubs trying to fight for Ucl. You need depth, and that’s not to mention spurs don’t play in any other contest atm other than PL unlike Villa… so yeah it was unlucky injuries, but I absolutely despise that as an excuse.
We’re freeeeeeee, free falling.
Our bench is lite af and the last 3 results are confirmation of that.
We feel you on that, we had three keepers on our bench today lol
